"Soulful Stories" Storytelling Evening In the rich storytelling tradition of African American culture, Downtown Muskogee, Inc. will host a Soulful Stories Evening with professional storyteller Dwe Williams. Her story will tell of Bass Reeves, one of the greatest law enforcement officers to ever serve in Indian Territory and on the Muskogee Police force. A soul food meal will be part of the evening. Tickets are $15 and reservations are required.

Love on Broadway – "Love on Broadway!", a benefit for the Muskogee Cooperative Ministries Community Food Pantry. Incorporating love songs from Broadway musicals old and new, the two-act program is a roller-coaster ride through all aspects of love, including pick-up lines, first dates, blind dates, cold feet, marriage and more. Mistress of Ceremonies is Barbara Staggs, retired legislator and educator.
Singers include: Tyler Acord, Stephanie Bolen, Matt Denton, Lizzie DePriest, Dubai England, Leah Eubanks, Colten Fitzgerald, Kylea Funk, Bethany George, Lindsay George, Rebecca George, Sarah Girdner, Michelle Grooms, Destany Howard, Makenna Hukill, Riley Huston, Jeremy Jones, Katie Kolb, Glenna Lewis, Victoria Lewis, Katie Matthews, Jericha McGill, Christian Myers, Cay Percifield, Colton Pruett, Madison Riddle, Hannah Roberts, Britney Rodgers, Chelsey Rodgers, Adrien Rutherford, Jake Vandiver, Miranda Walters and Cate York.
Orchestra members are: Michael Dunn and Forest Collins, keyboards; Melissa McLain, flute; Edward Warren, clarinet; Jennifer Jones, alto sax; Steve Wiles, trumpet; John David Luton, trombone; Dylan Oney and Janie Riddle, percussion; Steve Thomson, bass guitar.
Admission for the show is by donation of canned/non-perishable foods or a monetary amount of any size. Checks MUST be made payable to MCM Community Food Pantry. This is a great opportunity to enjoy an evening of entertainment, celebrate Valentine’s Day and help others!
