Batfish Movie Night

The Submarine War Memorial Park and Museum is hosting an evening of movies to celebrate Veteran’s Day. Two documentaries, You Bet We’re Going Back to Sea! The S.S. John W. Brown, and The U.S.S. Nautilus and a short fictional movie The Last Dive all produced by Cameron University Professor of Communication Dr. Matt Jenkins will be shown. You Bet We’re Going Back to Sea! If weather permits the screening will take place outside so please bring lawn chairs and or blankets to sit on. There will be a five dollar per person museum donation.

Movie Night in the Park

MOVIE NIGHT IN THE PARK! Come to Honor Heights Park on June 19 dressed as your favorite Grease character and be entered into a costume contest while you watch Grease is the Word! There will be pre-movie activities but be ready because the movie starts at dark. Be sure and bring your lawnchairs or blankets. Just like being at the theater soda, water, popcorn and candy will be for sale. The admission is free and this is a non alcoholic event. Click below for more details!

Rotary Golf Tournament

2009 Rotary Golf Tournament benefiting the Good Shepherd Health Clinic Friday June 19th at noon at Cobblestone Golf Course. Registration starts at 10:30, free lunch catered by Runts BBQ at 11:00, Shot-gun start at noon. Cash prizes for 1st and 2nd place. Cost is $90 per player or $360 per team.

Free and safe disposal of pollutants such as motor oil, anitfreeze, brake fluid, gasoline, oil-based paint solvents, thinners, pesticides, weed killers, yard car products, poison, all types of batteries, household cleaners, drain openers, aerosols, fluorescent bulbs, acids, glue, computers, and TV sets.
