New K9 Officer at Muskogee Police Department

The Muskogee Police Department is proud to announce that we now have a new K9 officer on the street, after the unexpected death of K9 Indie.

K9 Oli is a 3 year old Belgian Malinois that was born in Poland and then imported through Holland, and purchased by the Police Department from Vohne Liche Kennels. Oli is replacing Indie as Lieutenant Peters K9 partner after Indie’s death while at work. Oli has hit the ground running and on his 3rd day of work located 2 suspects that had ran from officers in opposite directions. He found one attempting to hide under a shed, and the other was hiding in the woods. Oli has also been CLEET certified for narcotics locating.

Lieutenant Peters has also become the departments first dual purpose trainer from Vohne Liche Kennels. He completed 9 weeks of training at Vohne Liche to receive the certification, all while working and training Oli.
